Antigenics is working to develop patient-specific immunotherapeutics and revolutionary treatments for cancers and infectious diseases.
In April 2008 , the company's patient-specific cancer vaccine Oncophage® (vitespen)
was approved in Russia for the treatment of kidney cancer patients at intermediate risk for disease recurrence. The company expects to launch Oncophage in Russia in the second half of 2008. Oncophage is approved only in Russia and Antigenics expects to submit to the European Regulatory Agency before the end of 2008.
Antigenics' QS-21 is an immune adjuvant being evaluated by the company's collaborative partners in approximately 15 clinical-stage vaccines for a variety of indications, including infectious diseases, cancer and Alzheimer's disease. Antigenics’ portfolio also includes two Phase 1 products: Aroplatin™, a third-generation liposomal platinum chemotherapeutic, and a therapeutic genital herpes vaccine.
